Egypt, France sign joint cooperation agreement in entrepreneurship field

Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil and Deputy French Minister of Treasury Thomas Corp signed a joint cooperation agreement in the field of encouraging and developing entrepreneurship in Egypt by providing them with mobile carts in which they will establish their projects.

“The agreement aims to provide young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to establish their own private businesses and projects, the matter which will increase employment opportunities for youth, “Kabil said.

The minister explained that this agreement comes within the framework of enhancing a joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of supporting and developing entrepreneurship, and small and micro enterprises.

According to the agreement, the French side will provide technical assistance to setup theses projects in accordance with the international health and safety standards.

He pointed out that the agreement also included studying the French side’s offer to finance the purchase of 500 mobile carts to start the project by offering a loan to the Egyptian side.

Kabil stressed that Egypt is keen on benefitting from the great French experience in the field of small, medium-sized and micro enterprises, especially in the programmes related to technical support and financing fields.
