Gezira Sporting Club: 33 candidates running for elections with 3 seats for women
The Gezira Sporting Club is witnessing a fierce election between 33 candidates running for all positions in the club. The internal elections, scheduled for 25 November will see a unique competition over three seats for women.
There are four candidates competing over the presidency of the club, including Ahmed Al-Saeed,Amr Gazarin, Nour El-Din Bassiouny, and Hamada Al-Demerdash.
The election for the club’s vice presidency will see three candidates running for the posi- tion, including Sharif Saif Al-Nasr,Tarek Hashish, and Akram Al-Adawi.
An additional three candidates compete over the treasury secretary post, including Ahmed Al-Muhailmi, Nabil Meshaal, and Ra’ouf Nour.
Moreover, 21 candidates are running for above age membership, including Hassan Al-Shafai, Badawi Khalifa, Lamia Sakr, Shahab Mazhar, Ismail Rady, Mustafa Al-Serifi, Ahmed Kesmat, Sherif Ashour, Ali Shaaban, Mohamed Al-Maraghy, Majed Rashdan, Adel Barto, Tarek Nassar, Mostafa Talaat, Mona Awaad, Khaled Youssef, Moma Mounir, Mohamed Sari, Sherif Abdel Maseeh, Tarek El Behairy, and Hossam Al-Deeb.
There are also five candidates in the below age category, including Amr Yehia, Yehia Daw, Ayman Haky, Ezz Nour, and Hady Helmy.
Shooting Club: after the disqualification of Al Saeed, heated competition over presidency between “Ghorab, Al-Nazer, and Tantawi”
The election for president of one of the most prestigious sports clubs, the Egyptian Shooting Club, will be settled within the coming two days. The election, set to be held on 25 November, is witnessing a fierce competi- tion between six candidates, notably the quartet, “ Abdullah Ghorab, Mohsen Tantawi, and Hani Al-Nazer” for the first time in the history of the club.
Meanwhile, club members are experiencing a relative calm before the launch of voting. The candidates used club walls, en- trances, and exits to promote their electoral programmes among the members of the club’s General Assembly.
Former oil minister Abdullah Ghorab is considered one of the most prominent candidates for the presidency of the club, along with Amr Al-Saeed, the current president of the club.

Fierce competition between “Al-Touny and Al-Sonbaty” in the Heliopolis Sporting Club elections
The Heliopolis Sporting Club elections will be held on Friday 24 November to choose a new board of directors, where Harun Al- Touny and Amr Al-Sonbaty are competing over the presidency.
The candidacy list of Al-Touny includes Nabil Helmy, running for vice president; and Hisham Allam, running for treasury secretary. The candidates, below the age of 30, include Sherine Mahfouz, Mariam Dreas, Ayman Nabil, and Omar Yahia.
The candidacy list of Al-Sonbaty includes
Mohamed Sedky, running for vice president, and Hisham Tawfek, running for treasure sec- retary. The list’s candidates, below the age of 30 include Hisham Sanad, Sarah Mourad, Ehab Fahim, and Ahmed Bakdash.
Meanwhile, Hossam Allam and Ahmad Ra- gheb are running the election as individuals.
The club’s General Assembly consists of 35,889 members entitled to vote in the coming election. They are divided into 62 committees.
