Businessmen dominate major sports club elections

The results of board of directors elections in El-Shams Club, Gezira SC, Alexandria Sporting Club, Egyptian Shooting Club, and Al Ittihad Alexandria Club showed business people’s dominance over many sports clubs.

The final result of the Egyptian Shooting Club elections resulted in the winning of Mohsen Tantawi, chairperson of a major real estate marketing company, as president of the club, while Mohamed Hamam became the club’s new vice president, and Ehab Hashish won the seat of treasury secretary.

The Shooting Club election included 63 candidates after the exclusion of Amr Al-Said.

Another businessperson, Amr Gazarin, won the Gezira SC presidency election, while Sherif Saif Al-Nasr was elected as vice president, and Ra’ouf Nour as treasury secretary.

Alexandria Sporting Club’s election witnessed the winning of Ahmed Warda as president of the club, while Sameh Al-Senoussi became the vice president, and Tarek Tabbuzadeh won the treasury secretary position.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Meselhi’s electoral list won the Al Ittihad Alexandria Club election by acclamation. The new board of directors included Hisham Hassan Soliman as vice president.

Journalist Osama Abu Zaid was elected as president of El-Shams Sports Club with 4,765 votes, and Hatem Al-Naqa won the position of vice president, while Mohsen Abdel Kader won the seat of treasury secretary.
