“The most prominent feature of the African continent is its low age average and the high percentage of youth who have the capacity to achieve the highest growth rates,” said Anthony Alamillo, founder of Alamillo Group.
He stressed on the need to take advantage of these enormous human capacities and train these young people on how to establish projects and make profit out of them.
During the Entrepreneurship Session at the 2017 Africa summit in Sharm El Sheikh, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the Egyptian president stressed the need for long-term thinking and rationalising consumption to prioritise establishing the projects needed by the consumer; in addition to, increasing their ability to gain market confidence.
He encouraged youth to “create a distinctive brand for the company and a sense of integrity that will give companies confidence.”
“Entrepreneurs should be careful to invest more at the expense of saving,” he added.
“Governments should encourage entrepreneurs and young people and support small and medium-sized enterprises. African youth must face challenges without waiting for help from others.”
“We are the African Lions, despite what we have suffered due to colonisation, now our fate is in our hands. And governments must provide the environment,” said Alamillo.
