MSMEs Development Agency starts providing services to Shaq El-Teaban investors

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSME) has opened an office in Shaq Al-Thoban area, informally known as Shaq El-Teaban, to provide financial and non-financial services to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the area and provide financial and technical training and marketing support to them.

The agency aims to increase the productivity of projects operating in the region, improve the standard of living of small and micro entrepreneurs, and assist them in legalising their conditions to participate in the National Initiative for the Development of Shaq Al-Thoban.

The President had launched the initiative with the aim of promoting the area of ​Shaq Al-Thoban, developing the marble and granite industry, solving obstacles facing the owners of these projects, increasing investment and exports in the region, and transforming them into a global industrial city.

For her part, MSME Head Nevine Gamea, said that the agency, along with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, are interested in contributing to the national initiative, praising the efforts of Cairo Governorate authorities and all relevant bodies in legalising the status of project owners in the area to include them in the structure of formal economy.

She added that the one-stop shop at the office will issue the documents required to legalise the status of existing projects and control establishing new ones. The branch will also provide all financing services for these projects either through direct lending or in cooperation with banks and NGOs.

Gamea noted that the agency is keen to reach its customers all over Egypt through a wide network of regional offices covering all governorates and participating in all national initiatives undertaken by the state to promote the Egyptian industry and raise the standard of living of their employees.
