Exports of ready-made garments increased by 13% from January to November, registering $1.305bn compared to $1.155bn in the same period last year, according to Readymade Garments Export Council of Egypt’s monthly report.
The report said that the volume of ready-made garments exports fell by 4% to reach $108m in November, compared with $112m in the same month last year.
The report noted that casual clothing exports were about $491.23m, while formal attire exports came to $315.78m by the end of November and other garments recorded $234.11m.
The report further said that sports clothing exports amounted to $206.17m, while the value of underwear exports, shirts, and sleepwear came to $35.64m .
Exports of children’s clothing reached $12.83m, while clothing accessories recorded $9.05m.
