Infinix and iTel have signed an agreement with i2 Stores for it to become the authorised maintenance provider for the two companies in Egypt.
According to Transsion Holdings, owner of Infinix and iTel, the aim of the contract is to improve the aftersales services provided to customers of the two companies. Carlcare Service will also continue offering aftersales services to both companies’ customers alongside i2.
Transsion Holdings owns three mobile phone brands: Tecno Mobile, Infinix, and iTel, as well as the aftersales services provider Carlcare Service.
Transsion plans to begin manufacturing smart phones in Egypt in cooperation with one a local manufacturer. The company also intends to raise its share of the mobile market, through the three brands, to 35% in 2018.
Transsion Holdings had signed an agreement with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in 2016 to cooperate in the fields of design and manufacturing of electronics. The company also signed an agreement with Silicon Waha during Cairo ICT 2016 to establish a factory at the Borg El Arab Technology Park for the manufacturing of mobile devices and LED lighting.
