Five main aspects of theto United Bank’s work strategy in 2018: chairperson

Ashraf El Kady, chairperson of the United Bank , has revealed the work strategy of his bank, which mainly relies on five main aspects.

El Kady explained that the strategy includes launching a package of new digital solutions and raising clients’ financial awareness out of the bank’s belief in the importance of offering non-traditional banking solutions and financial services that suit global changes, especially that the bank has an infrastructure that enables it to become one of the most influential banks, impacting the life of its clients.

According to El Kady, the bank will launch a smart portfolio during the first quarter of 2018 that is expected to see great demand by customers, especially the sector offrom young people and owners of small, medium, and microenterprises (SMEs).

He added that the bank’s work strategy also includes intensifying financial inclusion campaigns across the country, as the bank will continue spreading the banking culture, whether though forums, direct interactions, or launching new banking products.

“The strategy also includes maximising the base of clients benefiting from the sector of SMEs, especially projects that aim to export,” El Kady said.

He added that the bank also aims to expand launching banking solutions compliant with the rules of Sharia, noting that the bank will launch a funding programme for used cars through the system of “murabaha”. It will also launch a group of certificates and new investment tools, such as murabaha certificates and sharing certificates.

El Kady stressed that one of the main priorities for the bank in 2018 include contributing to sustainable development, developing slums, and supporting entrepreneurship.
He explained that the bank is currently implementing an intensive programme to improve the efficiency of work and human development out of the belief of the importance of qualifying a new generation forfor successful leadership. It is also considering the possibility to contribute to the sustainable development programmes through sponsoring distinguished students in the field of scientific research, especially in IT and the medical field.

According to El Kady, the bank is also considering the possibility toof supporting national industries through encouraging the field of micro enterprises and providing it with the necessary training and funding. The bank is also working to support the community in the field of education and health.

He stressed that in 2017, his bank was able to achieve balance between working and increasing production, as well as utilising the available resources in order to eventually create a successful entity that is able to compete and acquire a large share of the Egyptian banking market.

According to El Kady, the bank launched a package of new projects, including the educational funding programme, and another for microenterprises as well as a group of certificates and saving funds in Egyptian pounds and foreign currencies.

El Kadiy added that the bank has established theits first high -quality digital banking services centercentre with a high quality. It also opened five new branches, makingbringing its the total number of its branches 53. OpeningA the new branch ofin Madinaty i,n nNew Cairo is expected to happenopen soon.
