Saudi Arabia aims to launch a university for business and technology in Egypt. The university will be funded by Saudi Arabia.
Abdullah Dahlan, chairperson of the board of trustees of the University of Business and Technology (UBT), told Daily News Egypt that the coming period will see the agreement on the establishment of a Saudi university in Egypt.
Political leaders are being consulted about the proposed location, the period of implementation, and the total cost of establishing the university.
Dahlan pointed out that the attractiveness of investment in Egypt and the integrated legislative climate is a major reason for investment in Egypt.
He added that disadvantages exist in many countries, including developed ones, and not only in Egypt.
He continued saying that they are confident of the financial gains and profits of investing in Egypt.
According to Dalhan, investing in education is much better and produces educated and developed generations that contribute to the development and service of Arab society in full.
He pointed to the importance of vocational education through the establishment of the concept of administrative development of society, in addition to the development of scientific, educational, and research capabilities in the outputs of education, taking into account the qualification of graduates to meet the needs of society.
Dahlan called on Arab investors not to withdraw from the Egyptian market, because they have a real investment and a prosperous future, and not to focus on negatives rather than positives.
He added that the Egyptian market is wide and promising for all investors, and that Egypt is characterised by scientific expertise in all economic fields.
He pointed out that the number of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia is about 2 million, and no one should deny their role in achieving a breakthrough in the field of education and benefiting Saudi students in all sciences.
“I brought professors from the US, Canada, and other countries who did not succeed like Egyptians because of their creativity, although they require further development,” said Dahlan.
Dahlan pointed to the great support and efforts of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi regarding educational institutions and their growth, aiming to develop the capabilities of young people during the next phase, in line with development strategies.
