Nokia has inaugurated a Service Management Capability Centre (SMCC) in Cairo to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Africa region. In the initial phase, the centre will provide regional pre-sales support for mobile networks radio and core solutions, as well as advanced mobile solutions with special emphasis on dense network applications, the public sector, and enterprises. Specifically, the SMCC will help Nokia better serve small- and medium-sized companies by providing dedicated experts who have a clear understanding of their needs and the suitable solutions for their businesses, thus increasing the company’s addressable market in the region.
Yasser Ramsis, head of the Cairo Service Management Capability Centre, said that the company is committed to providing the best possible services and support to its customers, adding that the centre is a strong step in that direction. “It will allow us to significantly enhance the level of services for our customers, and also provide an important opportunity for local talent to work with a leading global technology firm. The centre is crucial to increasing our presence in small- and medium-sized enterprises in the region, he added.
The SMCC will gather a team of highly skilled solution experts in Egypt, assisting Nokia’s Mobile Networks business group and Global Sales Support organisation. Services will cover bid management, radio and core networks solutions consultancy and offerings, as well as advanced mobile solutions with special emphasis on dense network applications such as Mobile Edge Computing, small cells and WiFi, public sector, public safety and mission-critical applications, and enterprises. The centre will also support Nokia’s Global Services business and contribute to new business tenders for other business groups.
