Real Madrid is rumoured to oust its French coach, Zinedine Zidane, who has come under increasing pressure with Real Madrid in fourth place in the La Liga table, 19 points behind rival Barcelona. Real Madrid was also knocked out of Copa del Rey by Leganes.
Many media reports said that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is considering ending Zidane’s contract by the end of the season.
Perez has already started negotiations with a number of coaches to replace Zidane, notably former Real Madrid player and current youth team coach José María Gutiérrez, known as Guti.
German coach Joachim Löw is also expected to lead the Spanish club in the next season. The list of candidate coaches also includes Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino and German Jürgen Klopp.
