Egypt’s Press Syndicate, headed by Abdel Mohsen Salama, met on Saturday to discuss the final account of its budget for 2017.
This came ahead of an ordinary general assembly meeting that is scheduled on Friday.
Hatem Zakaria, secretary general of the syndicate, said that on top of the agenda of the meeting is to discuss the syndicate’s budget during 2017 and the estimated budget for 2018, in addition to any new work.
He also pointed out that the meeting will discuss the coding of new newspapers that requested registration with the syndicate.
Moreover, Gamal Abdel Rahim, a member of the syndicate’s board, said this meeting was previously delayed, as the budget report should have been discussed, printed, and sent to the members of the general assembly before its date by one week
In March 2017, the Press Syndicate witnessed elections for its head and board members.
