With the aim of sending a global message that Egypt is a country of serenity, the Ministry of Culture organised a peace march on Sunday in Sharm El-Sheikh, where hundreds of citizens marched holding signs of peace and singing nationalist songs, the Ministry of Culture stated in a press release.
The march was attended by Minister of Culture Inas Abdel Dayem, along with delegations from 45 different Arab and European countries, as well as several Egyptian theatre stars and South Sinai Governor Abdel Fatah Helmy.
The march was led by the band Drum Light, which sang nationalist songs to the sounds of drum bass.
Abdel Dayem stated that the march is a message of love to the whole world, asserting that it highlights art as a common language that builds a bridge of communication, friendship, and affection among nations.
During her visit, Abdel Dayem checked on the process of renovating Sharm El-Sheikh’s Culture Palace, as she stressed the importance of completing its restoration as soon as possible, adding that she is personally following up on the building, which is one of the most important cultural palaces across Egypt’s governorates.
