DP World Sokhna inaugurated a new customer service centre worth EGP 3m in Ain Sokhna. The announcement came at a ceremony attended by Mafouz Taha, vice chairperson of the Suez Canal Economic Zone and Xi Manding, managing director of Cosco Shipping Lines Egypt.

The centre will serve as a hub for all customer-related processes for shipping lines, clearance agents, trucking companies, freight forwarders, and cargo owners.

It is located at the entrance of the port at Ain Sokhna and is accessible from the city’s main road. The centre features a call centre, providing customers with the ability to check, coordinate, and manage their services through a specialised customer service team.

The centre will be open 24/7 and is responsible for responding to customer enquiries, providing real-time information on cargo, and solving any issues in coordination with other departments at the port.

Moreover, it is integrated with the customs system so that customers can perform their customs documentation processing, pay handling fees, and receive direct answers to their enquiries.

For his part, Ajay Singh, DP World Sokhna CEO, said that this new customer service centre is another step to support DP World Sokhna’s port operations by unifying the documentation processes leading to higher quality services.

“Our customer-friendly staff working there will also help enhance customer support and reduce the time spent on cargo handling,” he stressed.
