Kami Group, one of the newly-established companies in Beni Suef, is studying the establishment of an integrated solar energy complex in the east of the governorate and has invited some 200 companies to invest in the project.

According to the letter sent by Kami Group to investors, obtained by Daily News Egypt, the location of the industrial zone is in eastern Beni Suef and it will have all utilities, including electricity, water, drainage, gas, and roads.

The solar industrial complex includes 64 industrial units with an area of 250 sqm per unit, which come with a license for the assembly and manufacturing of solar panels or to manufacture accessories for renewable energy.

The letter identified 16 industries included in the solar energy complex, including the manufacture and assembly of photovoltaic panels, inverters, the manufacture and assembly of LED lamps, the manufacture of aluminium accessories, the assembly of chassis, and the manufacture of plastic parts.

It also includes wind turbine blades and components, solar water heaters, specialty paints, and permanent magnets manufacturing.

The letter referred to the possibility of assisting in preparing the file of each company and examining the feasibility of obtaining financing for the production lines and operating requirements through the national programme for community and human development, the initiative of the Central Bank of Egypt to finance small and medium enterprises with 5-7% interest, or other sources.

The terms of the contract include serious planning and a pricing of EGP 2,500 per sqm to be paid in instalments over five years. The conditions brochure can be obtained via email or a hotline.

Daily News Egypt called the hotline and a source at the company said that the land for the project was obtained from the Industrial Development Authority.

He estimated the average operating capital of the company at about EGP 40m, though he said it is subject to increasing.

The source noted that the cost of one unit is about EGP 625,000, based on an average of EGP 2,500 per sqm, including basic utilities.

He added that the company has not yet distributed the conditions brochure, noting that investors interested in the project should send an email with the name of the company and the purpose of investing, along with the area it seeks.
