Khedivial Marine Logistics (KML) acquired on Wednesday the shipping agency Austral Asia Line (AAL)’s operations in all Egyptian ports.

Mohamed Al-Dahshan, chairperson and founder of KML, said the new acquisition came as part of the company’s expansion plan.

The company transports general and heavy cargo via 24 vessels from the Far East (India, China, Japan, and South Korea) to the North and West Europe region through the Suez Canal.

Al-Dahshan added that AAL has a modern fleet of multi-purpose vessels that can transport cargo efficiently.

KML is an Egyptian joint stock company established in Egypt in 1981, to provide services for shipping, forwarding, oil, and material supply businesses for both local and foreign companies in Egypt and the Middle East.

The company contributed to the establishment of Siemens power plants in Beni Suef and the New Administrative Capital. It also sponsored the opening ceremony of the New Suez Canal.
