The Swiss Egyptian Business Association (SEBA) will focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR), vocational training, and employment activities through hosting related events in the second half of 2018, in collaboration with non-governmental organisations, said Marwa Taher, SEBA executive director.
Taher told Daily News Egypt that the SEBA has already supported organising the 14th Autism Art Exhibition within the Autism Acceptance Month campaign, Growing with Autism, which was held in April by the Egyptian Advance Society for Persons with Autism and Other Disabilities.
Taher added that the SEBA supported the Four Biscuits Initiative that aims to empower young people with Down syndrome by providing them with training in baking skills and then selling their products at local markets and online.
Taher noted that the SEBA’s members include about 120 Swiss and Egyptian companies, adding, “SEBA’s members discuss cooperating on new sustainable development projects in Egypt.”
The SEBA is a non-governmental organisation that was founded and established in 2004 by a number of Swiss and Egyptian multinational companies in Egypt. The main objective of the SEBA is to develop bilateral economic and business relations between Switzerland and Egypt, which represents an important market and a very promising economy, according to the SEBA’s website.
The SEBA has been offering substantial support ever since and exploring potential business opportunities to fortify business relations between Egyptian and Swiss counterparts. Its current members include high-profile influential business figures from multinational corporations in different sectors.
