Egypt makes unprecedented achievements in Mediterranean Games artistic gymnastics, wins 2 medals

Ehab Amin, president of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation, expressed his pleasure with artistic gymnast Nancy Toman’s winning of a gold medal in the women’s vault competition and Ali Abu Al Qassem’s winning of a bronze medal in the men’s rings competition at the 2018 Mediterranean Games, which is being held in Spain from 22 June to 1 July.

Amin added that the Egyptian gymnasts achieved unprecedented positive results in the Mediterranean Games, noting that the Egyptian women’s team seized the fourth and fifth places in the women’s individual all-around competition, and the fourth place in four apparatuses.

The gymnastics competitions at the Mediterranean Games concluded on Wednesday, with the Egyptian players achieving remarkable results.

Egypt’s mission to Spain, headed by board member Amr Makram, included 14 individuals and four international referees. The mission held a training camp before the Mediterranean Games in Japan, under the chairpersonship of Motea Fakhr El-Din Al-Zahawi.
