Representatives affiliated with the Ministry of Finance at the Investors Services Centre revealed that they issued 4,452 taxpayer identification numbers (TINs) for newly founded firms, since 22 February when President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi visited the centre, according to a Monday press statement from the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation.

Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr accompanied Minister of Finance Mohamed Moeit on an inspection tour at the Investors Services Centre in the presence of Ahmed Kojak, the vice minister of finance for financial policies, and Khaled Nassef, assistant to the finance minister for technology affairs, added the statement.

Nasr said that the Investors Services Centre includes representatives of 66 entities, including four affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, and their role is to issue approvals and magnetised TINs, as well as answering investors’ inquiries.

The finance minister praised the centre’s applied services to simplify founding new firms’ procedures, noted the statement, adding that the next period will witness boosting cooperation between both ministries, especially after establishing a joint committee that includes both ministers.

Moeit surveyed the Finance Ministry’s representatives at the Investors Services Centre about their views regarding the work process, asking them to eliminate investment obstacles, and fasten procedures to face bureaucracy issues.
