Which mobile operator has largest 4G, 3G, 2G coverage?

The four mobile operators—Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, and We—have all started offering 4G services starting in October. Noteworthy, the number of subscribers of mobile services in Egypt is estimated at 99.1 million.

Since 4G services were launched in Egypt, companies have raced to provide the best 4G services, but which company is truly the best in 4G coverage?

According to a Cellmapper report, Orange was ranked as the top company in terms of 4G coverage, as the number of the company’s towers with the 4G coverage is 55, in addition to 12.799 strengthening points.

Vodafone came in second in terms of 4G coverage, with 10 towers and 2.231 strengthening points.

As for We, the latest mobile operator to join the market, the report showed it has four towers and 773 strengthening points.

As for 3G services, Etisalat was ranked as the top company in terms of coverage, with its 244 3G towers, and 29.340 strengthening points.

Orange came second with 209 towers and 46.480 strengthening points.

Vodafone came third in terms of the coverage of 3G, according to the report, with 151 towers and 27.245 strengthening points. The report has not recorded any 3G services coverage towers owned by We.

We has signed a local roaming agreement with Etisalat, Orange, and Vodafone, in order to offer voice mobile services through their networks until the company has established its own infrastructure.

As for GSM services, which are also known as 2G services, Etisalat was ranked the top in terms of the provision of these services across the country, with 98 towers and 8.817 strengthening points.

Orange came second with 67 towers and 41.170 strengthening points, and then Vodafone came with 45 towers and 261.969 strengthening points. The report has not recorded any towers or strengthening points owned by We.
