2.775bn, trade exchange volume between Egypt and Russia in 5M of 2018$

The trade exchange volume between Egypt and Russia markedly increased during the first five months of this year, scoring a 31.5% increase, compared to the same period in 2017, to reach $2.775bn.

This came on a press statement issued by the Russian trade office on Saturday published by Egypt`s News agency, MENNA.

Notably, that the economic trade relations between Egypt and Russia have witnessed a remarkable development since President Abd El Fattah Al-Sisi’s visit to Russia in 2015, where many obstacles that impede the trade exchange between the two countries have been overcome.

“The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Russia during the first seven months of 2017 amounted to about $2.526.8 up from 2.221.4 bn during the same period of 2016,” according to the State`s information service.

According to the statement, the Russian exports to Egypt amounted to $2.418bn in the first five months of 2018, with an increase of 32.3% compared to the same period of 2017.

On the other hand, the Egyptian exports to Russia reached $356m in the first five months of this year, with an increase of 26.5%, compared to the same period last year.

” Egyptian exports to Russia during the first seven months of 2017 amounted to $ 387.9 m,” according to the State`s information service.

The Russian trade office, explained that the Russian exports to Egypt include cereals , mineral fuel, metal, aircrafts, and copper.

On the other hand, “the Egyptian exports to Russia vary between vegetables, clothing, accessories, and Fruits,” the Russian trade office asserted.
