Egyptian Media Group, the owner of the ON Live network, announced Friday that it had stopped broadcasting ON Live channel due to restructuring, while preserving the rights of the employees of the channel.
The group further announced the launch of the channel ON Sport II to be a new addition to the network. It will be aired on the same channel as ON Live.
Tamer Morsi, chairperson of Egyptian Media Group, said that the group’s decision regarding ON Live channel came in order to better perform and support the future direction of the group to present what suits Egypt’s media position.
Morsi explained that the launch of the channel ON Sport II supports the orientation of Egyptian Media Group and its expansion strategy, which focuses on professional media coverage of various sports to serve the Egyptian state’s direction to support sport and youth.
He concluded that the ON TV channels will continue to develop their tools and improve their standards in order to provide professional content in all fields for Egyptian media to progress towards the best.
