Electricity companies collect EGP 100m to deliver energy to Bashayer El-Kheir 2, 3

Electricity production and distribution companies collected EGP 100m of their own resources to finance the delivery of electric power to the Bashayer El-Kheir 2 and 3 project.

Sources at the Electricity Ministry said that the total amount paid by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company, nine distribution companies and six production companies for the implementation of electrical feeding in the second phase of Bashayer El-Kheir, amounted to EGP 24m, in addition to EGP 55m in the third phase.

The sources said that the Bashayer El-Kheir 3 project will be fed from a 66/11 kV transformers substation, which can be expanded in the future with 220 kV.

The sources said that the electric feeding for Bashayer El-Kheir 2 will come at 11.5 MW at a cost of EGP 24m for 24 residential blocks, while 14 transformers substations have been made available with a capacity of 500 kV, along with 14 medium-voltage units and an electricity distributor.

The sources pointed out that the project to deliver energy to Bashayer El-Kheir 3 comes at a cost of EGP 55m at a capacity of 50 MW for 64 residential and commercial blocks, along with 32 transformers substations with a capacity of 1,000 kVA, 32 medium-voltage rings and an electricity distributor.

The sources revealed the direction of electricity production and distribution companies to launch a fund to contribute to the delivery of electricity to the projects of civil development across Egypt.

Bashayer El-Kheir 2 is the second phase of the project for the development of the Gheit Al Enab area. It includes 2,000 residential units and other services.

Bashayer El-Kheir 3 is located on 54 feddans and includes an integrated residential community with service areas, a school, and a hospital of 200 beds, along with a mosque, a youth centre, a post office, and a commercial, administrative, and entertainment area.
