Egypt’s ambassador to Azerbaijan welcomes national junior rhythmic gymnastics team

Egypt’s ambassador to Azerbaijan, Adel Ibrahim, welcomed the Egyptian national junior rhythmic gymnastics team during their training camp in Azerbaijan.

Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as the first vice president, first lady of Azerbaijan, and the head of Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation, and Azad Rahimov, minister of youth and sport, for their efforts in easing the procedures of hosting the Egyptian gymnastics team in Azerbaijan. Ibrahim noted that Rahimov offered unprecedented facilities to the Egyptian team during their residence in the country.

Ibrahim called on other Egyptian sports teams to benefit from Azerbaijani sports facilities, especially in the capital Baku, through holding their training camps there. He pointed out that Egyptian teams are always received with great hospitality in Azerbaijan due to the two countries’ deep political relations.

Egypt’s national junior rhythmic gymnastics team left to Azerbaijan on Sunday morning to hold a 20-day closed training camp, as part of the Egyptian Gymnastics Federation’s (EGF) plan, headed by Ehab Amin, to prepare gymnastics players for different competitions.

This training camp comes in the framework of the EGF’s preparation to upgrade the current under 16 junior team to senior criteria. The camp will conclude with participation in the Bala Gymnastics competition.

The Egyptian mission to Azerbaijan consists of coach Mayar Ragab, and the players: Farida Nadir, Salma Khaled, Malak Sherif, Nermin Khaled, and Perihan Ayman.
