Representing Egyptians point of views in planet Earth issues, and aiming to be the ambassador of Egyptians in their attempts to save the planet from all the destruction which has been occurring for the past decades, young Egyptian model Naureen Youssef was crowned this week as Egypt’s first Miss Planet for 2018, and will be participating in the International competition in 2019.
In its first edition, and under the slogan of Beauty For Humanity, Miss Planet is an international beauty pageant which aims to have global ambassadors to be the voice of “planet Earth Resonates,” and to “Listen And Heed For The Sake Of Humanity’s Future On Earth,” as the competition official Facebook states.
Working as a writer, model and as a motivational speaker, Youssef is the first mother to present Egypt in such a competition.
“I wanted to change the common thought that the winners of any beauty pageants should be single. There is nothing a single woman can do that a mother can’t,” Youssef told Daily News Egypt.
Aiming to grab the international crown from all of the participating countries, Youssef seeks to be the first African woman to win the pageant, “I want to tell the world that it is not only about our beauty from the outside, it’s also about our souls and our inner beauty,” she added.
The international competition is to take place from 10-25 February next year in Cambodia.
