Euromoney Conferences has provided a comprehensive update on Egypt’s financial markets for more than 22 years. In this year’s edition the conference will focus on the economy, under the theme of “Resilience and Agility”, and to be attended by ministers of investment and international cooperation, finance, communication and information technology, education, according to press statement issued on Tuesday by Euromoney.
The statement indicated that the main topics to be addressed in the conference will be; in a world of constant disruptions, is the financial sector agile and prepared to adapt? Is the economy sufficiently resilient? And what are Egypt’s investment strategies moving forward?
Minister of investment and international cooperation, Sahar Nasr to open the conference and address these key issues, while Minister of Finance Mohamed Moeit, is expected to discuss if the economy has turned a corner, giving an update on the budget and prospects for growth.
Moreover, Amr Talaat, minister of communication and information technology will discuss how Egypt is moving towards a digital economy and how this digitisation is evolving. In regards to education, which is considered to be one of the most important components of a forward looking, agile country, the Minister of Education Tarek Shawky, will shed light on his ambitious plans to transform the sector and create a workforce fit for the 21st century.
Moreover, the theme will be explored throughout the two days with panel discussions, presentations, and special sessions delivered by experts in their fields, such as; international speakers already confirmed include: executive director, MENA of ConsenSys, Lina Hediah, head of Middle East and North Africa of Eurasia Group, Ayham Kamel, and Programme Leader at the World Bank Ashish Khanna.
