Warm, sunny, and hot is how this month of August has painted the country in a sizzling hue of sunshine. With many fleeing from the burning city to the cooler beaches, a new wardrobe is once again a necessity for an increasing audience. While few European brands have managed to make wood and bamboo a wearable trend, Pavo decided to capitalise on crochet.

This local accessories brand, launched a new summer collection worthy of long days and nights on the beach. With a light colour pallet, the brand reinterprets the season’s top trends according to the mastery of Egyptian craftsmanship.

Hand-made circular bags are the main stars of this collection—along with playful tassels, the cream bag is big enough to hold numerous items while flaunting the intricate work of handmade crochet. With each piece made for a unique client, each bag is slightly distinct and certainly made with love over the period of a few dedicated hours.

Meanwhile, Pavo also pays tribute to several other winning trends—such as straw tote bags. The summer must-have is reinterpreted with a timeless design, which incorporates a diversity of coloured lace and medium-length hands—fit to carry tanning products and cover-ups. Furthermore, the brand has also addressed the afterhours with hand-carried clutches.

With that said, the brand’s localised version of international accessory trends also come with a much more affordable price tag, which is enough reason to embrace more than just one Instagram-able shape of summer bags.

On the other hand, the seasonal collection is not quite complete without PVC totes, which reveal much more than they conceal. With new designs dropping out regularly, Pavo seems to be on the right route to experiment with a few more trends with the help of local craftsmanship.
