Al-Sisi heads to Manama on official visit includes Bahrain, China, Uzbekistan

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi heads on Thursday to Bahrain on an official trip to discuss with Bahraini king Hamad Eissa, and a number of high officials, bilateral relations and a number of regional issues of mutual concern.

According to a statement from the presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady, after visiting Manama, Al-Sisi will head to Chian to take part in the China-Africa forum which will be held in Beijing in order to boost African-Chinese relationships.     

During his visit to China, Al-Sisi will meet his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to discuss boosting mutual cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries. He will also hold meetings with the heads of largest companies in China to discuss increasing their investments in Egypt.

Rady added that the visit will witness the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding and agreements to boost cooperation between Egypt and China in several fields.

The president will end his foreign trip by visiting the Uzbekistan capital Tashkent, as the Egyptian president’s first official visit to Uzbekistan. Al-Sisi will meet with his Uzbiki counterpart Shavkat Miromonovich to discuss boosting cooperation between both countries.
