New Cairo City Authority allocates EGP 34m to raise efficiency of 187 residential buildings in Fifth Settlement

The New Cairo City Authority allocated an amount of EGP 34m during the first meeting of the council last week, in order to develop, beautify, and raise the efficiency of 187 residential buildings in the third district in the Fifth Settlement, New Cairo, according to Mohamed Saad El-Din, chairperson of the board of trustees.

Saad El-Din said that the board set priorities for its plans to preserve the splendour and beauty of New Cairo, noting, “the city is the most important new city in Egypt, whose residents deserve the provision of all services to compete with other cities among the most beautiful cities in Egypt in the coming period.”

Saad El-Din revealed that this amount has been allocated from the account of the board of trustees and will be used to carry out all maintenance work for the sewage networks of these buildings through raising their capacity, hence these buildings become as new, without putting any financial burdens on residents.

In its last meeting, the board approved to spend its new budget in accordance with the priorities which are directly reflected in tangible services felt by citizens in all neighbourhoods of New Cairo city.

The value of the approved budget for the New Cairo City for the new financial year 2018/2019, exceeds EGP 16bn for services development, EGP 8bn for housing projects, and EGP 4bn for the development of road networks, as well as main and suburban areas.
