The Minister of Irrigation Mohamed Abdel-Aati arrived in Sudanese capital Khartoum to attend the closing of the meeting of the 58th session of the Permanent Technical Mutual Committee for Nile Waters.
The Egyptian minister, accompanied by delegation, were received by Sudanese ministers of irrigation and electricity at Khartoum airport.
The regular meeting of the Permanent Technical Mutual Committee for Nile Waters kicked off on Friday in the Sudanese capital city Khartoum in its 58th round.
During the meetings, the committee addressed the needed projects for decreasing the loss in Nile waters and increasing the water of the Nile.
This comes a part of outcomes the three parts keen to continue implementing Grand Ethiopian Reissuance Dam (GERD).
During the Egyptian-Sudanese-Ethiopian tripartite summit held in Addis Ababa, it was agreed to “continue implementing the GERD, in accordance to the Declaration of the Renaissance Dam Principles Charter that was signed on 23 March 2015 in Khartoum, said President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in a joint press conference.
