Cairo is set to host the meetings of the World Franchise Council (WFC), from 17-19 November, in parallel with the 16th franchise exhibition in the same period, the meeting is organised by the Egyptian Franchise Development Association (EFDA).
Tarek Tawfik, the chairperson of the EFDA, said in a statement that such important event represents a great opportunity for the franchise grantors to present their trademarks and expand their activities by the participation in the exhibition in the presence of 46 entities representing thousands of franchises around the world.
The meetings will be under “Social franchise and sustainable development” theme, and will offer a group of franchise opportunities on the local and international levels and encourage investors to get a franchise through boosting investments and signing trade deals, Tawfik added.
The WFC is a non-political organisation consisting of more than 40 national franchise associations from around the globe, in addition to the European Franchise Federation, Ibero-American Franchise Federation, and Asia-Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC).
Formed in 1994, it aims to promote the growth of franchising internationally, and facilitate best practice in franchise association management among its members,
It also aims to foster and encourage the development of franchise associations in nations, where such an association does not currently exist.
