The Council of Arab Business Women (ABWOC) chairperson, Abeer Essam, met with Yunan Adour, minister of representative of Egypt’s commercial representative office in Dubai, where the meeting involved several axes in support of the real estate industry in the coming period.
During the meeting, Essam discussed with Adour the possibility of organising a specialised real estate exhibition in Dubai from January to March 2019, under Egypt’s name, in cooperation with a substantial majority of investment entities in Dubai, in addition to enhancing cooperation with the 6th of October Investors Association.
Essam added that the meetings were held on the side-lines of the Cityscape conference, which ended earlier in Dubai, and the ABWOC participated in quite a few meetings with successful outcomes, most notably the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the ABWOC and the Dubai Land Department (DLD).
The MoU signed between the council and the DLD aims to enhance joint cooperation between the both parties, in order develop the competencies of real estate professionals, and support the real estate sector during the next few years. Furthermore, the MoU’s objectives are to exchange experiences in the sector, and provide a suitable climate for investors in Egypt, and the UAE.
Essam stressed that the MoU addressed the reassessment of real estate legislation, to achieve integration, establish partnerships with international institutions, and organisations in the same field.
Moreover, the two parties signed an additional MoU to establish a cornerstone council under the name of ‘Arab women Real Estate Union Council’, which aims to promote the real estate sector in the Middle East.
