The British ambassador to Egypt Sir Geoffrey Adams welcomed trade representatives of a number of foreign embassies in Egypt to celebrate the success of the 28th run of Electricx exhibition, the biggest energy exhibition in Egypt and Africa, in an event at the British embassy, according to a Wednesday statement from the embassy.
Electricx Exhibition promotes the Egyptian energy sector, added the statement, noting that the power exhibition – organised by British company Informa exhibitions – aims to introduce international energy-buying companies and trade attachés to Egyptian manufacturers, to empower the Egyptian energy sector and to promote export opportunities, in order to support local manufacturers.
The two-day exhibition hosted 75 Egyptians companies and 125 regional and international companies. Other exhibiting companies included EGEMAC, El Sewedy Industries, Opple, Chint and Huawei, noted the statement.
“A sustainable economy is measured by the ability of its private sector to create jobs and export products and services abroad. I am delighted that leading British company Informa is partnering with local power manufacturers, and providing them with great networking opportunities with international markets,” said Adams.
For his part, Hany Khafagy, general manager, Informa Egypt, said that whatever market Informa operates in, it is constantly looking for new and innovative ways to bring buyers and sellers together, for the benefit of the countries where the company’s events take place.
Electricx benefits the Egyptian market by bringing thousands of buyers from across the country, and in the future from across the region, to meet with local companies, noted Khafagy.
