Egypt Oil and Gas will hold the second annual conference on 2 December 2018 at Sky Executive Resort, under the title ‘2018 Operational Excellence Convention’ under the patronage of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla.
According to the released statement, this year’s edition will include a series of dynamic panel session topics and discussions, addressing the industry’s most pressing issues, with leaders of major private and government companies in Egypt and the Middle East region.
Leading figures from the Egyptian oil sector are expected to attend the conference, such as BP, Schlumberger, Apache Corporation, Shell Oil, Eni, Apex and EGAS. Egypt Oil and Gas has selected Wood Mackenzie, the largest energy research company in the world, as an international partner for this year’s research and scribing.
“Egypt’s oil and gas sector is one of the main pillars of our economy today. The ministry is working across the industry to strengthen the sector, and overcome all the challenges,” said Mohamed Fouad, chairperson of Egypt Oil and Gas. He added, “Egypt’s announcement to stop importing liquefied natural gas in September came as a result of the government’s efforts to develop the sector.”
