Ruslan Milchenko, head of Methodology and Tenders Administration at Russian Rosatom, said that one of the requirements for suppliers working within the Dabaa project, is to have permits to purchase the equipment of nuclear security in order to demonstrate the supplier’s commitment.

She added that suppliers are entitled to a technical inspection, and obtaining an approval by the regulatory bodies, noting that these measures aim to reduce the risks suppliers may face.

Furthermore, Milchenko pointed out that there are several conditions to ensure contracts are implemented within a reasonable timeframe, while avoiding several mistakes which may hinder work. These mistakes could include not submitting the papers of the government registration, and not giving attention to filling in the submitted forms with precision.

In her recommendations to suppliers, she explained that a model of the contract will be presented, and any questions that arise may be asked to the organiser of the tender, and responses will be given within a couple of days.

There is also a special academy to inform suppliers, in addition to an online course to allow suppliers to become professionals in the field of nuclear energy.
