The Korean tech giant, Samsung, announced new monitors for professionals who work in limited-space offices and in content-creation, during the first day of the CES 2019 show in Las Vegas.

The first monitor, Space Monitor, comes in two models, a 27-inch model, which offers a quad high definition (QHD) resolution for detailed, pin-sharp images, while the 32-inch model presents content in 4K ultra-high- definition (UHD) resolution.

The new monitor is designed to save space at workplaces, supported by a minimalist fully-integrated arm which clamps to the desk and frees up desk space, it allows users to push the monitor back, and lean it flat against the wall, and it can also be lowered to the desk’s surface.

The UR59C 32-inch monitor, is the world’s first 32-inch curved 4K UHD monitor, with a 2,500:1 contrast ratio, and a full 3840×2160 4K UHD resolution, with up to1bn colours.

Moreover, it has a super-slim design, with a depth of 6.7mm and a fabric-textured rear casing. Its three-sided no bezel screen is attached to a slender yet sturdy v-slim metal stand, with a two-prong base which encases cables to reduce its size in the work space.

The company has not revealed the price of the monitors yet, but it is estimated that they will come with a price tag that might not be affordable for small startups with a limited budget.
