In their February edition, the publication listed their top 30 clubs around the world and Spain’s top two found themselves leading the way.
The editorial team considered the analysis of players, television audiences, social media following, average attendances, income, expenses, market value of the team and the historical importance of the club – the latter being something the magazine themselves acknowledged as being subjective.
Eighty-five clubs were looked at under these criteria, with the final list standing at 30.
On this basis, Real Madrid was the top team beating Barcelona and Manchester United that took second and third ranks respectively.
