AmCham, AUC to organise entrepreneurship event titled ‘Egyptian Dream’

The AmCham Entrepreneurship and Innovation Committee (EIC), in cooperation with the American University in Cairo (AUC), School of Business, Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO), Endeavor Egypt and Mindsalike are organising a one-day event titled, the ‘Egyptian Dream’ on Monday, March 11 at the AUC Tahrir Campus.

The event promotes Egyptian entrepreneurship and will provide attendees with the opportunity to experience the entrepreneurial journey first-hand, by showcasing the story of accomplished entrepreneurs, and highlighting the tools behind their success.

The ‘Egyptian Dream’ is designed to inform, educate, and inspire attendees of the challenges and rewards associated with entrepreneurship via both keynote speeches by accomplished entrepreneurs in the ecosystem and the world-renowned ‘Scaling Up Business Growth’ workshop by one of the few globally certified Gazelles’ Coaches.

To this effect, the event embraces several themes that revolve around the overarching notion of the ‘Egyptian Dream’.

These themes serve as the guidelines around the speaker’s presentation and respective workshop topics, as they cover one or more of the following themes, human capital, a theme that involves sustaining your business by employee retention, growth strategies, failure, a theme that showcases how many successful entrepreneurs evolve out of setbacks, and how they have overcome them. As well resourcefulness, which sets entrepreneurship in Egypt into context by describing the ecosystem, and the tools that could be used to excel in it despite its challenges, and international expansion, highlighting how to elevate your business to the international level.

Keynote Speakers include Ahmed Bahaa, CEO, MB for Engineering; Hazem Dalati, CEO, The Touristic Investment Company (TICO); Yaseen Abdel-Ghaffar, founder and managing director, SolarizEgypt; Dina Aly, co-founder and managing director, Matter Branding; and Ahmed Bakry, chairperson, International Company for Insulation Technology (INSUTECH).

Workshops are provided by Omar Hikal, CEO, The Brand Company.
