The Egyptian weightlifting champion, Neama Said, is competing in the 2019 IWF Youth World Championships held in Las Vegas, the United States, in the 59 kg category, according to Mahmoud Mahgoub, president of the Egyptian Weightlifting Federation.
Said, who won the silver medal in this tournament, is the only Egyptian athlete participating in this tournament, added Mahgoub.
Egypt will host the African Weightlifting Championship on 23-30 April, which is one of the qualifying competitions for the Tokyo Olympics.
