The Disney Park Blog, the official platform of the world’s biggest Disney resorts worldwide, announced the addition of Egypt to the list of the visited countries planned to have an itinerary in 2020.
The trip, planned to start taking place within a year, is to offer participants “a truly once-in-a-lifetime vacation, filled with the irresistible combination of ancient mysteries, modern luxuries, and exceptional Disney,” according to the official blog. Doors for reservations open mid-May. Visitors are to stay at Cairo’s fascinating Nile Ritz-Carlton.
The trip includes a tour to Old Cairo, where visitors get the chance to see the Muhammad Ali Mosque, built in honour of the Ottoman ruler’s eldest son, and the Saladin Citadel of Cairo. It also includes special-guided tours in the Giza Plateau, for the Pyramids, the Sphinx, the Great Pyramid’s Grand Gallery and King’s Chamber, as well as a special tour at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Old Cairo is not to be missed on this trip, according to the blog. Khan El-Khalili takes a part of the trip with a glance to see the “major souk,” or marketplace. Aside from the myriad of merchandise and souvenirs, you will find a bevy of old cafes, one of which dates back to 1797.
