Head of Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Magdy Ghazi, received a delegation from the Chinese Southeast University (SEU), including a team of university professors and consultants, headed by Wang Shengping who is responsible for conducting a survey on Chinese industrial zones abroad.
The two sides discussed ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in industrial fields, promoting investment opportunities, and benefiting from the Chinese experience.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from Jiangyin Changjiang Investment Group, affiliated to the Chinese Mankai Investment, to showcase the position of the company’s business with regard to the development of China’s textile zone in Sadat City, and discuss ways to overcome all obstacles that hinder the zone’s development.
Ghazi said that the IDA will submit a report explaining the situation of industrial zones in Egypt to be used in the study being carried out by the Chinese side and to present ways to develop those areas and promote investment in China and the Silk Road countries.
