The Chairperson of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce Ibrahim Al-Arabi, won the election for the presidency of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) for the next term which will last for four years until 2023.
The FEDCOC announced the results in the presence of 35 people with the right to vote. Al-Arabi got 21 votes while the former president of the FEDCOC for the previous two terms got 14 votes.
The election were held on Monday in downtown Cairo.
Al-Arabi is the Chairperson of Al-Arabi Group. Also he holds many other positions among them
the chairperson of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce since 2015. He is also the Chairperson of the Egyptian-Japanese Business Council.
Moreover, he is the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Quweisna Industrial Zone Association since 2015.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture Engineering in 1977 and was born in February 1953.
