Fitch Learning held a joint awards ceremony last Wednesday evening at the Heliopolis Tower Hotelin Cairo, presenting the completion certificates to the first 43 bankers that took part in its first international Credit Academy.
Fitch Learning’s CEO, Andreas Karaiskos, and Jose Santos, head of Global Business for Financial Institutions at Fitch Ratings, presented the awards to the graduates.
The launch of the international Credit Academy and certification were offered locally through providing two Credit Academies in Egypt starting June 2019 that ran for eight consecutive weeks full-time. These Academies are geared towards training credit and risk financial professionals in order to better manage credit portfolios for big companies and SMEs with global excellence.
The 43 bankers graduating from the International Credit Academies come from Egypt’s top banks, Banque Du Caire, Banque Misr, Egypt Arab Land Bank, Faisal Islamic Bank, Misr iran development bank, National Bank of Egypt, QNB-Alahli, Suez Canal Bank, and Société Arabe Internationale de Banque (SAIB), and have completed the program over the two academies.
Commenting on the graduation of the bankers, Karaiskos stated that in a global market, these financial institutions are showing their commitment to Egypt’s financial future by up skilling financial professionals in these Credit Academies.
“Both they and Fitch Learning are committed to certifying those who have the potential to be a future leader in Egypt’s financial industry. This investment proves the country’s strong desire in becoming an international player in the global financial market,” assured Karaiskos.
