Ahmed Auf, chairperson of Samo Trading Company, the owner of the Abu Auf brand, revealed that the company aims to open 30 new Abu Auf branches, reaching 150 branches by 2020 with a total investment of EGP 50m.
He added that his company will increase the number of coffee production lines of all types to meet the needs of the domestic market and foreign markets.
Samo was established more than 40 years ago and soon became one of the largest companies in the field of snack food and natural health foods, according to Auf.
Samo is planning to participate in the Anuga Food Fair in Cologne, Germany to open new export markets for all the company’s products.
According to Auf, the great boom achieved by the Egyptian food industry companies has made the Egyptian-made product a strong competitor to other international brands. He pointed out that Samo has a factory with the latest technology for roasting and packaging various types of nuts.
