President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received the Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Monday, during his three-day official visit to Egypt, presidential spokesperson Bassam Radi said.
Al-Sisi hailed the strong and special Egyptian-Kuwaiti relationship, and the two sides discussed the region’s latest developments.
During the meeting, they also discussed permanent coordination between the two countries in various fields and issues of common concern. Al-Sisi asserted that Egypt plans to develop distinguished cooperation between the two countries, including enhancing economic relations, in addition to attracting more Kuwaiti investments to Egypt.
Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah also had a meeting with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly. The meeting discussed ways of developing bilateral relations between the two countries and enhancing cooperation in a way that achieves the interests of the two fraternal countries.
The two prime ministers also discussed regional and international issues of common concern. The two sides will sign several cooperation agreements, said Egyptian Cabinet spokesman Nader Saad.
Moreover, Ali Abdel Aal, the Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives, met the Kuwaiti PM. In the meeting with the Kuwaiti PM, Abdel Aal reviewed the friendly and historical relations between countries in all fields.
They also tackled the Kuwaiti-Egyptian parliamentary relations and mutual coordination between the two sides.
