Egypt’s cabinet has approved two cooperation projects with Germany, including a rehabilitation centre for immigrants, in addition to exchanging information between experts for quality assurance in agricultural production.
To achieve the global “Migration for Development” project, Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi signed an agreement with Germany on 19 November in order to insure safe, organized, and responsible immigration, in addition to provide rehabilitation for immigrants by establishing an Egyptian-German centre for employment and reintegration.
During the meeting, the cabinet also approved a draft law to abolish the Hydro Power Plant Executive Authority (HPPEA) and to transfer its tasks to the New and Renewable Energy Authority.
The cabinet accepted legalising 90 churches and affiliated service buildings nationwide. The approval takes the number of churches with adjusted status in Egypt to 1,412 churches.
Moreover, the cabinet gave the green light to establish a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and a leading Dutch company in the field of discovering and nurturing athletic talent. The ministry will establish the Egypt Stars project, in order to discover and nurture emerging sporting talents in the field of football.
