Osama Zaki, CEO of BariQ, has said that the company recycles 1.6bn PET bottles annually, suitable for food use in water bottles, and food containers.

Zaki added that the company exports 100% of its products to American and European markets, where it has achieved much success, qualifying them to obtain many international accreditations, such as EFSA, FDA, and Health Canada.

BariQ is a subsidary of Raya Holding Company for Financial Investments, and its factory is built on an area of 15,000 square metres, which recently obtained the approval of the Egyptian Organisation for Standardisation and Quality.

He said that the company added the separation phase at the scale level in May 2019 to ensure the quality of the final product. It also plans to add an automatic separation stage at the beginning of the production line to ensure the quality of the separation process in order to confirm its leadership in this field by achieving the highest rates of quality and safety for the company’s products.

Moreover, BariQ seeks to achieve the highest standard of quality that comes in line with the global trend towards increasing the proportion of recycled materials in food packages and water bottles.

The company participated in the Egyptian International Exhibition for Plastic and Rubber Products for export (Egyplast 2020), held from 9 to 12 January at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in the 5th Settlement.

The exhibition, organised by the Egyptian Plastic Exporters & Manufacturers Association, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is also held under the auspices of the Plastic and Rubber Division and the Chemical & Fertilizers Export Council.
