Four Egyptian missing fishermen were found on an island on the Red Sea near Shalateen border town, local media quoted their families on Saturday.
The fishermen mysteriously disappeared during a fishing trip on the shores of Hurghada near Abu Ramada Island last week.
One of the neighbours of the missing fishermen said that due to technical issues in their boat along with bad weather, the waves pushed them to an island where they got lost. He added that the boat was small and not equipped for distant cruises.
He continued that they lost connection completely with them, as there was no mobile network coverage in the area, but fortunately another boat found them and informed the concerned authorities that they were fine.
Despite being stranded for almost a week with no food and little water, the fishermen were in good health.
They will be transferred soon to Hurghada.
