Egypt will go through cold weather at the daytime on Sunday, followed by another drop at night, with some cloudy skies in Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northwestern Coast, Northeast Coast, middle of Sinai, and North Upper Egypt, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said Saturday.
EMA warned of heavy morning smog in some regions, estimating the movement of winds to be moderate.
For South Sinai and Hurghada, the weather is to be moderate in daytime, and very cold at night, but in Upper Egypt, Halayeb, and Shalateen, the weather is expected to be moderate during the day, and very cold at night, with moderate wind.
According to the EMA’s statement, the Mediterranean and the Red Seas are moderate and the wave height is about 1.5-2 metres, and the direction of the surface winds on the Mediterranean are northwest, and northwest to southwest on the Red Sea.
On Saturday, Cairo, Lower Egypt, Northeastern Coast, and middle of Sinai, experienced some cold weather during the day, smog in early hours of the morning, and a very cold night, while South Sinai and Hurghada experienced moderate weather in the day, but a very low temperature at night, wind activity, and disturbance of maritime navigation.
