German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Müller will visit Egypt on Friday, to meet with several Egyptian officials and learn about new development projects in the country.
“Egypt was always an important partner to Germany in the field of development, due to Egypt’s regional importance, youth, and promising economic capabilities. Therefore, it was a great pleasure to have the Minister Müller in Egypt. During his visit, he would be able to form an image of the German-Egyptian development cooperation fields,” German ambassador to Cairo Cyrill Nunn commented on the visit.
The trip would focuses on several topics, mainly water and energy.
Müller said: “The Nile is the lifeblood of millions and at the same time it is important for expansion in the field of renewable energy production. Africa must turn into a green continent, moreover, required technology for that is available.”
Aswan Dam power plant does not only create jobs, but also a source of green energy with German technologies, he added.
Since the 1960s, Egypt and Germany have also worked together in field of development in order to improve the living conditions of many individuals in addition to create sustainable development.
